Fitness and Pilates

To stay in shape, you may partake in some physical exercise whenever you like in our fitness room, featuring Cybex fitness equipment.

You may choose from a vast array of cardio equipment: bicycles, rowing machines, cross-training, treadmill, as well as strength-training equipment. And while you are here, you can take the opportunity to design a personal training program.

The fitness center also offers Pilates classes with instructors trained in the Pilates Polestar method.

The Pilates method comprises a set of movements and therapeutic exercises that were designed by Joseph Pilates. Thanks to specific training, the muscles are toned and muscular balance is established around the joints. The result is greater flexibility, mobility and stability. This method also promotes an in-depth understanding of the body's functions while favoring improved coordination. Together, these different benefits help prevent repeated injuries and reduce chronic pain. The method is practiced on the floor as well as on four devices, including the main device called the "Reformer," which consists of a frame that is shaped like a bed, with a sliding plate, pulleys and other accessories. The device can be set at various tensions by means of springs. These springs make it possible to control the amount of resistance, while simultaneously assisting with movements. The approach is less strenuous for the ligaments and tendons. Because of the multi-purpose design of the devices, they can be used for hundreds of different exercises.

The Fitness center is designed for anyone aged 16 or over.
